The North Carolina Real Estate Exam
The Real Estate Exam is divided into two sections: State and National. The State section consists of 40 questions that cover State laws and regulations, while the National section includes 80 questions about National laws and regulations. You will have 4 hours to complete the entire exam, and a passing score of 75% is required to obtain your license.
In the event that you fail either section of the exam, you will only need to retake the section that you failed. For example, if you pass the National section but fail the State section, you will only need to retake the State section. However, if you fail to pass both portions within 180 days of finishing your pre-license course, you will need to go through the application process and criminal background check again.
It is important to note that you may retake the State Exam as many times as necessary, but there is a fee associated with each exam attempt, so it’s important to prepare and study thoroughly to maximize your chances of passing on the first try.
